Tinctures and topicals
Tinctures are cannabis extracts in liquid form, taken by dropper under the tongue or in food. Topicals are balms, lotions and similar products applied to the skin. Triple M makes tinctures in Plymouth and carries CBD-dominant and 1:1 THC to CBD options at both stores.
These two categories are popular with medical patients and with anyone who does not want to inhale. Tinctures give precise, adjustable doses by the dropper; topicals are applied where you want them and are generally not associated with the intoxicating effects of other formats.
Taking a tincture
Held under the tongue for a minute before swallowing, a tincture can take effect faster than an edible. Swallowed right away or mixed into food, it behaves like an edible, with a slower onset. Start with a small measured dose and wait before adding more.
CBD-dominant and 1:1
CBD-dominant products contain mostly CBD with very little THC. 1:1 products contain equal parts of each. Both are good starting points for people who want less intoxication.
